Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to sign a new contract with the club, solidifying his future at Elland Road. The 29-year-old England international has established himself as a pivotal attacking presence for the Whites, making this impending commitment a notable development as Leeds move to secure their frontman on fresh terms.
Since arriving at Leeds on a free transfer from Everton, Calvert-Lewin has registered 20 goals in 49 appearances for the Whites. The forward is already committed to the club until 2028 under the parameters of his existing agreement, but his goalscoring form at Elland Road has prompted Leeds to put forward a new deal.
The agreement represents a clear transfer setback for Manchester United, who had been linked with a potential move for Calvert-Lewin in the upcoming January window. The Old Trafford club are actively exploring options to recruit a forward in January after Benjamin Sesko was sidelined for an extended period to recover from a shin injury.
Calvert-Lewin's domestic form previously earned him an international recall to the England setup under Thomas Tuchel in March. Although he was not selected for the World Cup, he was included in the squad for the most recent Nations League fixtures, picking up his 14th senior cap on 6 October during a 3-0 win over the Czech Republic as he now prepares to pledge his club future to Leeds.
